Pack 806 is open to all BOYS and GIRLS entering grades K-5. We primarily draw from the neighborhoods around PHILLIPS, BOALS, NEWMAN, and MINETT Elementary Schools in Frisco, TX, but we are open to any family regardless of where their child attends school.
Our mission is to provide a fun and exciting year-round program for our scouts including camping, hiking, crafts, STEM, community service, and the ever-popular Pinewood Derby! Your child will have fun learning new skills and making new friends, plus we sneak in boring stuff like citizenship, teamwork, leadership, and self-discipline when they're not looking.
We invite your family to be part of our Cub Scout pack! We can't wait to welcome you and your child to a world of exploration, laughter, and endless possibilities. Let the adventure begin!
The annual registration fee is for membership with the BSA national organization. The $180 annual or $15 monthly Pack dues go directly to the Pack to cover the costs of the Scout's initial Class B t-shirt, Advancement loops & patches, Pack and Den activities, leadership training, and some of the camp out costs.
There are a few additional costs occasionally associated with special events to accommodate family members. For example, the cost of the Scout’s Pinewood Derby kit is included in Pack dues, but parents & siblings are able to purchase a kit to join in on the fun (the no rule “Outlaw” race is always exciting).
Scouts meet in small groups (Dens) to work on activities toward their next rank. Den meetings vary by Den and are coordinated between the Den Leaders and Scout families. These are typically weekly or every other week.
Once per month, the entire Pack will come together for special events like a Pack Meeting, Pinewood Derby, banquets, or camp outs.
With any new Den, we will need parents to step in as Den Leader and Assistant Den Leader (don’t worry, we are here for support). Those that become Leaders will work with the families within their Den to coordinate the best days/times and frequency to meet.
